Call me a fool, a fine fool

Wednesday, September 28th, 2005

I’ve decided to be apart of Paul’s Fine Fool Community and write for I Like Cameras. The Fine Fools Community is a experiment to see if he can take a group of blogs from zero to sixty for a upcoming book he’s writing.
I’m sure his sites will get quite a bit of traffic, so writing […]

Food plus Surrealism equals

Monday, September 26th, 2005

Delta Tango Bravo has a link to a photo gallery by French photographers Pierre Javalle and Akiko Ida.
The photos are one part food photography, two parts surrealism.

I know many people are against the somewhat “experimental” navigation they’ve chosen (using Flash), but I had no problems navigating. In fact I like the use of Flash in […]

Adding photos to your blog can really enhance your content. Think of your local newspaper without photos - not as interesting…
Some bloggers have great content and try to keep it simple (like my co-worker Garrett) - But adding a photo, even if unnecessary can be a great finishing touch.
Two examples:

Tim Burton’s latest stop motion masterpiece (sure I can call it that without seeing it!) Corpse Bride was “filmed” with a Canon EOS-1D Mark II - a high end DSLR 8.2 megapixel camera.

design in-flight has a good (and very in-depth) article on low budget photography:

Who this is for: You: owner of a small design company, a seat-of-your-pants freelancer, or perhaps an under-appreciated intern in the marketing staff of a big corporation. You wish to improve what you can offer photographically for your projects, you might only own […]

Microsoft has a new photo sharing program called MicrosoftMax.
Quote:
Microsoft® Codename Max is not like any other product. That’s because it’s not a product—it’s your opportunity to try an exciting new user experience from Microsoft. Today Max lets you make lists of your photos and turn them into beautiful slide shows to share with your family […]

File Me Away

Friday, September 16th, 2005

Just came across File Me Away, a blog by Josh - who I see is very close by in Plano, TX. The first thing you notice when visiting his site is the large striking image in the header of the page. This is a great way to draw someone into your site. No only […]

Flickr RSS widget

Thursday, September 15th, 2005

slower.net has a nifty little photo widget. Called the Flickr RSS widget, it’s a little button that when pressed pulls ten of the most recent photos from a Flickr RSS feed. This little button could be placed in a signature, your site, or anywhere you want.
Here’s what it looks like in action:
The button:
